KPV consists of just three residues — lysine, proline, valine — clipped from the C-terminus of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone. Despite its size it retains much of the parent molecule’s activity in inflammatory pathway assays.
Investigators study it in relation to NF-kappaB signalling, pro-inflammatory cytokine release, and mast-cell activation. Its very small molecular size also makes it a useful test case for delivery and permeability studies that larger peptides cannot support.
Supplied as a sealed vial for laboratory use. This material is offered strictly for in vitro research and is not for human or veterinary consumption, diagnostic, or therapeutic use.
